Conveyancing

• Your conveyancing is usually a fixed fee service. It includes professional fees for advice and consultation. Part of the conveyancing fee is often requested to be paid upfront for disbursements they pay to prepare a contract for sale.

Preparation Costs

• Preparing your home for sale includes, packing, clearing/ storage and cleaning. 

• Home Staging, gardening and decluttering are other common things people do.

Agent Fees

• The costs for a selling agent vary from each individual agent however most will charge a marketing fee and then a selling fee.
  • The marketing fee is the amount payable to advertise the home. Similar to the conveyancers' disbursements this is the outlay of advertising
  • The selling fee is payable only if the property sells and is paid on settlement of the sale. Normally it's a percentage of the sale price or a set amount.

Marketing Fees

• The marketing fee is the amount payable to advertise the home. Similar to the conveyancers' disbursements this is the outlay of advertising. Often the cost for photography, signage, brochures and internet advertising.

 Moving Costs

• Removalists
• Cleaners
• Gardening/ mowing
• Utility connection and disconnection
• Time off work

Taxes /Bank Fees and Government Fees

• Your broker can advise on legal and annual fees for your finance.

• Your conveyancer will organise any information in regard to lands title registration.

• The most common larger costs that apply from the government are Stamp Duty when purchasing your next property or if selling capital gains tax may be payable.
